Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to commonly asked questions about our trips. If you do not find the answer you are looking for, please contact us via our contact page or by email to info@lazydays.com.hk

  • What are the pick up and drop off times?

Our daytime trips operate from 10:30am to 5:30pm and evening packages operate from 7pm to 11pm unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.

  • What is the maximum capacity?

Our maximum guest number depends on the boat selected. Our largest boat is suitable for up to 55 guests for boat only rental and our smallest boat is suitable for couples, families and smaller groups.

  • What is the minimum spend/minimum capacity?

Our minimum spend for our all-inclusive fun package and champagne package is the equivalent to 15 adult passengers on our smallest boat

  • Why are you asked to complete a passenger manifest?

Safety is a high priority with Lazydays and although we hope never to need the passenger list, we ask you to complete one to ensure that we know exactly who is onboard if there is ever a need for it. This passenger list is not used for any other purpose.

  • Do you allow dogs?

We are happy to have dogs onboard that are well behaved. The owners must accept all responsibility for their pet and should clean up after them. Please note that pets are not allowed on any of the cushioned furniture and are not allowed inside the main cabin.

Should you wish to bring a pet, please note that they should be included in the passenger count.

As a responsible owner, you should also be aware that our itinerary usually does not include any land stops during the day unless otherwise requested and it means your pet will be onboard for the whole day (7 hours) without a “pit stop”.

There is a HK$300 charge for pets

  • Do you have water toys?

Yes, we have different water toys available for different boats. Giant inflatable lounger island are available on our all-inclusive package boats, floating bean bags, paddleboards, trampoline, slides, inflatable platforms, noodles, inflatable rings, infant paddling pool – more than enough for a day of fun at sea. Please check with us for a specific boat. Some items are subject to rental charges.

  • What piers do you pick up from?

Our normal pick up points are:

Aberdeen Boat Club pier

Central Pier 10

Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter

We can pick up at other public piers on request. Some piers will incur additional charges however we try to minimise this and can suggest alternative arrangements

  • What happens if it's raining?

Unfortunately due to the nature of boat trips, we cannot cancel or postpone a trip for rain. We would postpone a trip if typhoon 3 signal or above has been hoisted or if black rain signal has been hoisted. If it looks likely or if these signals are up, we would keep in contact with you to discuss the situation. Trips postponed for typhoon and black rain need to be reshceduled in the current calendar year. All monies paid will not be refunded in the case of Typhoon or black rain. For a postponed date, where your new date has fewer guests, no refund will be payable. Additional guests over your original guest number will be subject to the current pricing.

We would continue with the trip with any other weather conditions however your preferred destinations may not be feasible, in which case we will suggest alternatives on the day.

  • Are there children's life jackets?

Yes, we adhere to all marine department requirements and have children's emergency life jackets onboard.

  • I want to book a date. How do I confirm a booking and pay the deposit?

You can go to our online booking system at www.lazydays.com.hk. 50% deposit payment would be required to confirm the booking and is taken by credit card via paypal. You should note that there is an online payment surcharge as paypal charges transaction fees. This method will ensure you get the date you want immediately.

Alternatively send a message on our contact page with your booking request. We would then respond by email with our booking form and request payment by bank transfer. The date requested is not confirmed until payment has been received.

  • I'm looking at your online booking system and it looks like there is availability but I have not been able to book for a day trip. What is the problem?

We have two time slots – day cruises and evening cruises. Our online booking system will show availability on a specific date unless both our daytime session and evening session has been booked out for that date. i.e. you would like to book a Saturday daytime boat trip and have gone into the online booking form after selecting the date but you get a warning that there is no availability for that time. If you select the evening session, you will see that there is availability.

  • Can I take the yacht out on my own?

No. All charters must be skippered and crewed by Lazydays staff due to insurance reasons.

  • I don't have enough people in my group to hire a boat. Can I pay per person?

We offer public ticketed trips on weekdays and some weekends subject to minimum numbers. Be sure to check our website or email us for the most current scheduled dates and times.

  • Are we able to connect an Ipod/Ipad/Iphone to the onboard speakers?

Yes, we have an AUX lead that is able to connect to all of these electronic devices

  • When we rent out Boat Only, does the boat have ice coolers filled with ice, cutlery, plates, glasses and serving dishes for us to use?

Yes, when you hire Boat Only we provide ice coolers with ice for cooling your drinks and you can use our cutlery, glasses and plates and kitchen facilities however we request that you leave everything as you have found it. If you do not want to be washing up on your day out, we can arrange staffing for this at additional cost.

  • When do we need to decide which destination we would like to go to?

You can let us know in advance of your charter. Some destinations will incur an extra fuel charge. The Captain has the right to change the destination if the weather is unfavourable, but our staff will communicate this with the booking party and give you the best options for the calmest weather on the day.
